Ego Death
No good intro this week, just a reminder that The Internet's Ego Death  might be a perfect album.
TO READ
  • You don't always need to be achieving, but you do need to be being. A piece on why you don't need to be exceptional (and why that's a good thing). (If you don't feel like reading, though it is a short piece, you can watch an animated video of the article here.)
  • “Go back and take care of yourself. Your body needs you, your perceptions need you, your feeling needs you. The wounded child in you needs you. Your suffering needs you to acknowledge it.” I've slowly been making my way through Reconciliation by Thich Nhat Hanh. It's a powerful book on healing the inner child through mindfulness  and a read I recommend for all looking to be more self-aware, present and accepting.

TO LOOK AT
TO COOK
TO LISTEN TO
  • Went to see Still Woozy last week and I'm pretty confident I was the oldest member of the audience there who wasn't a chaperone. Nevertheless, it was a very fun show. And I got put on a new artist, his opener, Dreamer Boy. Check out the track "Lavender" and then just keep listening.
  • My dear friend Berto put me on this delightful summery song, "Can't Stop Your Loving," a collab from Poolside & Panama.
TO LAUGH AT
  • This grandma discovered photography at 89 and has been crushing the self-portraits. (Thank you, Ellen, for sharing!)
  • This morning a drug dealer sold me some shoes. I don't know what he laced them with but I've been trippin' all day. (Lol brought to you by Michael Lee.)
