You may get what you ordered, you may not, but you're certain to have a one of a kind experience at The Restaurant of Mistaken Orders in Tokyo, Japan, where all of the servers have dementia. A touching story of one team's mission to shed light on what it's like to live with dementia and the importance of building connections and empathy in our communities.
I loved this story because really, we all make mistakes, all the time. I make mistakes every day. And I'm usually pretty hard on myself about said mistakes. Learning compassion, especially for oneself, is key to happiness. Check out the short video below - sure to make you smile.

- Our criminal justice system is broken and the Free Meek documentary on Amazon Prime is an excellent example of the injustices that run rampant in American courts, particularly for black men. While prison and incarceration has been the focus of many documentaries addressing the American justice system, this docuseries shines a light on the disturbing and destructive role probation and surveillance play in our society.
- With changes to policy effecting abortion counseling, Planned Parenthood has left the Title X Family Funding program. These new changes make it even more difficult for women and families to have access to affordable healthcare, and yes, abortions. Please consider donating to Planned Parenthood to keep their doors open and services affordable.

- Nelson Makamo uses oil paint and charcoal to create portraits of South African youth. They're beautiful.
- Bro, wut!!
- I've been doing my best to celebrate and support living artists, but often when I'm in need of a beauty break or inspiration I turn to Marc Chagall. I always wish he'd illustrated a children's book, because I'm certain it would've been magical. "If I create from the heart, nearly everything works; if from the head, almost nothing."

- In anticipation for the new SiR album set to drop this Friday, here's one of my favorite tracks, "W$ Boi," from the TDE singer-songwriter.

- My friend Elizabeth introduced me to this cool chrome extension, The Bell of Mindfulness. The bell rings as a reminder to bring us back to the present moment and take a deep breath. Something incredibly helpful for those of us stuck at a desk all day. Even though I can usually hear hers from my desk, I installed it on my computer too :) Give it a try! And take a deep breath.
