I like to write. It’s fun, therapeutic. It helps me learn about all sorts of things, myself included. I turn to writing to help me to understand and articulate my feelings. I’m proud when I pick just the write word to convey my emotions. Happiness. Sadness. Love. Loss. I can find words for those. One emotion I have a hard time with, however, is anger. And this bullshit ass policy that’s being enforced at our border right now is making me so angry. And I’m angry that I can’t find the words to truly articulate my disgust for this administration. I can’t string together a sentence powerful enough to express my heartbreak. So, instead, I’ll share words and advice from Dahlia Lithwick and Margo Schlanger on how you can help. And please, please, help in whatever way you can.
WHIPPIN' Marinated cheese. Yes. It's a thing. An incredible and delicious thing. It's one of my favorite dishes to prepare for company, because it's easy and versatile. Plus looks really pretty. Here's a basic recipe for a marinated feta (one of my favorites) that's affordable and tasty. Put it on bread. In pasta. A garnish on soup or salad.

More music, because why not. My friend Shaan sent me this video and I really, really liked it. I hope you do, too!
