“I give myself a good cry if I need it, but then I concentrate on all good things still in my life.” - Morrie Schwartz
― Mitch Albom, Tuesdays with Morrie
I love a good cry. I might even cry too much - I cry when I’m sad, when I laugh, when I’m dehydrated. I think it’s because I didn’t cry much as a kid. I tried to keep it in. To be strong. To remain unbothered, rather, unaffected, by circumstances and experiences. With age, with life and love and loss, I’ve learned the importance of a good cry. And was reminded by this as I picked up Mitch Albom’s memoir, Tuesdays with Morrie. I’m a firm believer that you books find you at the right time. And while I can’t believe I put off this book as long as I did, I’m confident that I’m reading it now at the very right time.
Be kind to yourselves today. Cry if you need to. Then concentrate on all the good things in your life.
