Wow. It's already May. Wild.

The fifth month of the year was named after the Greek goddess Maia. Maia, the goddess of spring and growth, also means "the great one."

So, here's to a really great May. One full of growth and fun and opportunities.

WHIPPIN'
One of the best recipes you can lock down is pesto. Why? Because it's versatile. Not only does it go great on a whole lot of everything, but once you know the basic parts of a pesto, you can make it out really anything. This NYT pesto recipe is quick and easy. And once you get comfortable with it, I encourage you to get inventive. No basil? Try another herb or green. I like using kale. And obviously arugula. Carrot tops are good too! Also, pine nut expensive, so give it a go with walnuts or almonds.

ART I LIKE
Bryant Giles, a Chicago-based artist, is hopefully on your radar by now. The multi-hyphenate creative has worked with Nike, modeled for Pharrell and is putting out some really dope art.
