I love spaghetti. Forever. For always. But when ya girl got put on Somali spaghetti? Life changed. Classic Italian will always warm my heart (and belly), but if you're ever looking to switch up spaghetti night for something a little brighter, this is it.

"Can't Be // How U Feel" from Billy Lemos' 2017 EP, Self, is one of those songs that pops up on my shuffle at just the right time. Forgot how much I dig this track. (The whole EP, actually.)

Ever wonder why we vote on a Tuesday in November? It dates back to the 1800s. Because November fell between harvest season and bad weather, the timing allowed voters to travel to town centers to cast their ballots with more ease . Tuesday was chosen because it didn't interfere with the days of worship. Peep this page for more facts on voting past and present.

Another Song I Like

I just recently got put on Blackparty's 2016 album, Mango. It's dope. Especially the track "Bloom." It's message is kind, uplifting and full of love, and laid over a funky beat. Give it a spin when ya need a pick me up or send it to a pal who might need one.

I mentioned Barbara Kruger above in this week's "Art I Like" section. She's a bad-ass. Intelligent, creative and progressive. And her whole aesthetic got snatched up by the streetwear brand, Supreme.
